Stadtverkehr Lübeck GmbH and its subsidiary Lübeck-Travemünder-Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH operate local public transport services in Lübeck and the surrounding area with a total of 200 buses and approx. 550 employees.
Every year, 24 different lines cover some 9. 2 million km and travel 230 times around the world. Whether to school, work or shopping - every year around 24. 3 million passengers are transported in the modern low-floor buses and 3. 1 million passengers in our Priwall ferries in Travemünde. In the summer season, the open-air bus takes you on a 50-minute city tour to all the interesting places in Lübeck's old town and points worth seeing on the outskirts.
With our services we contribute significantly to traffic avoidance and thus to climate protection in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. Our goal is the complete banning of fossil fuels as an energy source in our vehicles and their replacement by electrical energy. As part of a research project of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, 10 hybrid buses are already in service today and form an important transition technology to pure electric mobility.
