„89th annual meeting of the "Society for Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery e.V." has been awarded with the „KongressAward 2018 der Hansestadt Lübeck“

For the 8th time the award „KongressBotschafter der Hansestadt Lübeck”  was awarded by lübecKongress e.V. and the MuK during the 14th Academic Evening on 19.11.2018 in the Music and Congress Hall Lübeck (MuK) .

The jury, consisting of the members of the executive board of lübecKongress e.V. Mrs. Ilona Jarabek (Managing Director of the Music and Congress Hall Lübeck), Mr. Christian Martin Lukas (Managing Director Lübeck and Travemünde Marketing GmbH) and Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Fischer (Vice President Transfer and Digitization of the University of Lübeck) chose the winner from the 8 nominated congresses.

This year's winner is the "89. Annual Meeting of the Society for Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery e.V. ", which took place for the first time in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck from 09 to 12 May 2018. The congress was initiated by the Department of Otolaryngology of the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein, Prof. Dr. med. Barbara Wollenberg as conference president of the congress. The CongressAward winner 2017, President of the IHK Lübeck, Mrs. Friederike Kühn presented the award to Mrs. Prof. Dr. med. med Barbara Wollenberg. Mrs. Ilona Jarabek, chairman of lübecKongress e.V. and jury member justified the decision with the tireless efforts of Prof. Dr. med. med Wollenberg, to have a specialist congress of 2,500 visiting experts, be held in Lübeck to ensure valuable transfer of knowledge and know-how exchange in Lübeck.
