Since 1995 the congress initiative lübecKongress has been pooling the strength of the local meetings industry, thus giving it a uniform appearance and aiming for one goal: To make use of the high economical potential of the MICE-market (meetings, incentives, congresses, exhibitions) in the Hanseatic City of Lübeck and the Seaside Resort Travemünde, in order to offer meeting planners one competent contact person to generate added value for the city, the local and regional economy and the initiative members.
For more then 20 years, lübecKongress, as one of the oldest local networks, has therefore successfully been positioning Lübeck and Travemünde as meetings destination.
Founded with only seven members as public private partnership, lübecKongress has been a registered association since 2007. Currently, 36 members support the congress initiative.
